The Land

Penpynfarch is a 28 acre secluded smallholding tucked away in the rolling Welsh hills of Carmarthenshire.
The ancient Nant-Gwyddil stream runs through the base of the valley and a spring-fed lake opens to a hidden glade deep in the forest.

On the one side of the valley grows ancient oaks, ash, hazel, hawthorn, alder and more, in a native and wild woodland. The other is home to a peaceful plantation of pines and firs, that we are gently diversifying with native species. The land is some of the remaining temperate rainforest in the UK, the climate that muchof the British Isles once was. We are here to protect its beauty and continue its longevity for future generations.

Welcome to our home

We are two families with a shared vision.
To raise children in a wild and natural space where we listen, observe & learn from the ebbs and flows of our environment. To create a space where we can create kinship and connection to the earth, learning new ways
to be along the way, to re-wild our hearts & minds and to work in symbiosis with this land we call home. To plant seeds, grow and harvest so that the generations to come can continue, connected.

We’ve got a lot to learn. Join us on our journey x
